FPET

Since 2000, Fire Protection Engineering Technologies, LLC (FPET) has provided exceptional fire protection system design to local, national and international clients. We provide a full range of fire protection system services including planning and consultation, design, oversight and project management, and inspections to help the client succeed. At FPET, we believe the strength and accuracy of our designs lies in our highly diverse project experience. Knowledge of many building types provides our clients with the unique benefits of a broad-based viewpoint when it comes to the design and management of their fire protection project.

Our design experience includes civic buildings, elderly housing, historic preservation, resorts, schools and university buildings, condominiums, ski area and mountain projects, custom residences, corporate headquarters, banks office and retail buildings, parking structures, libraries, high technology research facilities and manufacturing facilities.

We utilize the latest technology in consulting, project management, and design. We take great pride in our staff's proficiency with these technologies and remain committed to keeping pace with the benefits of technology through on-going training and technology upgrades.

Technology

We live in a time when every day brings innovative, new ways to do things. FPET is continuously looking at which technologies can serve our clients most effectively. Our prime goal is to integrate those systems and technologies that offer proven, ground-breaking and marked improvements in how we do our work.

Computer Assisted Design (CAD)

FPET utilizes computer assisted design at all stations. All contract documents and drawings, from the very first stages of design through construction are electronically produced. FPET is dedicated to staying at the cutting edge of developments in computer technology which can enhance our capability to produce the highest quality documents for our clients' projects.

3D Modeling

FPET also utilizes 3D technology to create an accurate, coordinatable design. The fire protection software program that we use is a 3D program that allows us to design our system at elevation and improves accuracy and attention to detail. When the layout is done we can run a routine within the program that allows the elevated polylines to be converted to solids. The solid rendering can be then overlayed with 3D mechanicals to do comprehensive coordination and collision management.

Information Management

Our people are information managers. Because of our large volume we must be very diligent and organized if we are to succeed in this fast-paced industry. In addition we are committed to a paperless workplace. All paper documents are scanned into a pdf format and stored in a project directory. Daily, our project directories are backed up to a local hard-drive and to an off-site, online computer. We are dedicated to updating, maintaining and customizing the firm's processes to ensure ultimate efficiency and organization.
